B-MOVIE CRITIQUE

The Hagars of Fox Mountain

PEABODY

OK, where to start ... First let me just say that of ALL the B-movies we have been able to review, this has to be THE WORST!

LEWELLYN

Quite agree. But, don't we say this often about these turkeys we must watch?

PEABODY

You might have a point.

LEWELLYN

There are movies that are not good. And there are movies that are bad. And movies that fall in the not-good to bad spectrum. We seem to always be handed the ones on the bad end of the range.

PEABODY

I think you're right. So, should we go ahead and talk about this bad movie or refuse to do so and demand to be tasked with reviewing movies that are not this bad?

LEWELLYN

But, how would anyone know how bad, or not good, a movie was until we, or other reviewers, gave our opinions?

PEABODY

Yeah, I guess you're right. So we have to go ahead and review this one.

LEWELLYN

Let me give a succinct review and you can see if you agree.

PEABODY

OK. Go.

LEWELLYN

The Hagar brothers - twins, who are about 17 years old, attempt to take courses that, even if they pass, will get them nowhere, but will cost a significant amount of, I assume, welfare-supplied money. We are left not knowing if they pass or fail. Period.

PEABODY

It is depressing to think that - and, by the way, you have hit the nail on the head about this movie - the taxpayers are left to pay for the wastefulness of supporting such so-called educational costs. This type stuff times a million! Times a billion!

LEWELLYN

But, let's remember that this is a fictional story. Don't get too worked up.

PEABODY

It might be, but real stuff like this happens everyday, all day, everywhere. Depressing.

LEWELLYN

OK, so lets wrap up here and begin to think about our next film that we will be tasked with reviewing: "Buckle Up, Stupid! The Cops are Looking".

PEABODY

Yes sir! I can hardly wait.
