FADE IN: LIVING ROOM, DAY
CLIFF
Son, even if you had a Cadillac, there isn't a place to park
such a barge around here.
THEO
Yeah, Dad, but I've got that figured out. See, I use the car
during the day and lease it out to a cabbie during the night.
That way, it is never parked.
CLAIRE
Cliff, I think he's got you this time.
CLIFF SHAKES HIS HEAD IN DOUBT.
THEO
Dad, come on, what do you say?
CLIFF
I say you're a durn fool, boy. You and your mother!
CLAIRE GETS A DISGUSTED, INSULTED EXPRESSION GOING.
THEO
Does that mean I can't get the '71 Eldo?
CLIFF
(turning to his wife)
And, as for you, Claire, I hope you've learned a valuable
lesson here.
CLAIRE
CLIFF
The lesson that not every spoiled kid gets a Caddy for no good
reason at all.
CLAIRE
That's not a very memorable lesson.
CLIFF
They can't all be winners.
